The 25th anniversary of The Essential Technical Rescue Field Operations Guide is finally here and is better than ever!
Wow, this was a tough revision! So much has changed in the rope rescue world during the past 5 years.. Every section has been updated. There are many new graphics and a lot of old gear and techniques have been in cut. Change is hard sometimes, but with the new tools and all of the testing that has been happening in technical rescue, we’ve developed ways to make procedures simpler and thereby safer.
Whats new? Team Control Checklists, Two Tension Rope Systems (TTRS), Tree Rescue, and tips for the use of new gear including Clutch, Capto, Maestro.
I’m also working on videos of all of the updates and these should be available soon.
